Biography: Charles ?Leon? Cline died peacefully on March 2, 2011, just after his ninety-fifth birthday. Born in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, on February 20, 1916, to Charles and Sarah Cline, he moved with his parents at an early age and was reared in Oregon. At age seventeen, he began his fifty- plus year career in the logging industry. Leon loved his work, as well as fly fishing, playing his fiddle, and traveling with his wife Freda all over the United States and Europe. He was active in the Lutheran Church, where he led Bible Study for many years. His family and friends will miss his kind, gentle spirit. Leon was a cherished and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Cline; their son, Marvin Cline; his brother, Bud Cline; and son-in-law, Hank Honeywell. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Honeywell of Little Rock; sister Marie Toepfer of Stayton, Oregon; brother Tillman Rains and wife Shirley of Stayton, Oregon; grandsons Randy Cline and wife Sandy, Jon Honeywell and wife Ashley, and Craig Honeywell; and great granddaughters Jennifer Cline and Kady Cline. A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 5124 Hillcrest, Little Rock, AR 72205 at 1:00 p.m. on March 11, 2011.
