Kevin,Carson,Chloe and other grandaughters, my condolences to all of you for your great loss. Wandie was a Great Lady in deed. I know how much she adored Chloe and vise verse. I remember my first year away from home, after leaving for college in Austin at U T,not only did she fly Kevin,my mom (Elease),and Chloe to Little Rock for Christmas, but she flew me there also. She always included me in whatever was going on. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. You now have your own personal Angel to watch over you.I still have the one she gave me cliped over my sun visor. The warmth of everything she represented will reflect in her children and grandchildren. My Deepest Sympathy, M.Schwandt

We are so sorry to hear of Wanda's passing. What a shock. We loved Wanda as a member of our extended family and her smile and love always meant the world to us. Wanda was a friend; not an occasional pal...but a true friend. She was always at the ready and had what we called 'elan.' We shall miss her and can only begin to understand the loss that her friend, Larry Derby, feels. May the heavens smile upon her and may God take her in his arms and, when so, she'll make Him smile with a great joke. God Bless Wanda Hampson.

Carson, I cannot even express how much I loved your mother. She was the most lovely and precious woman I knew. My parents never came to see me on drill team...your mother was the one there watching me. I am so sorry that I didn't know until today -- I wish I could have been there. All my love and prayers are with you and your family. I cannot remember a time that she didn't make me feel loved...and she always had a smile that made everyone smile. I am so blessed to have known her.

Love,
Misti

What can I say... there are so many memories with Wanda. Some of my favorite times even today are the nights we spent after games at Denny's. Even when I looked my worst she was the first to tell me how great I looked! She was a great lady and was loved by many and will be missed by all. Wish I was able to be there today to show my love and provide support for you. Please know you are in my thoughts...Much Love.. "Little One"

We are so saddened by Wanda's passing. She was always the one who lit up the room with her presence. She had such a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face every time we saw her. We will always remember our good times together cheering for our favorite team at PA. Wanda was such a joy to be with and such a caring person of others. We are proud to have called her our friend. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Carson, Kevin, Katy:

We are so, so sad to hear of Wanda's passing. She has always been on top of my list of "best characters in my lifetime" and as I think of this world without her, there will be a great void than can never be filled.

She always enjoyed her visits to see us in San Francisco or Palm Springs. We always had fun. When I came to Little Rock or Hot Springs, we enjoyed each other as well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Why does bad news travel so fast... So many memories came flying back to me today when I got the news. All of them brought a smile. Your mom was the original "alpha" female and "tiger" mother rolled in to one but everyone knew how much she loved her boys. I will bet she was pretty great at being a grandmother for your girls too.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks so much for letting me know about Wanda's death. When I spoke with Wanda recently we made plans to have lunch when I come down to visit my niece in Cabot. I did not realize she was so ill. I ordered red tulips for Wanda. Hope they are pretty. Do stay in touch.

Carson - You and your family are in my prayers today. Many warm memories come to mind - times we shared laughing, talking, and celebrating with your mom. Her presence brightened every room, and the many lives she touched. I remember our visit to Vanderbilt, and going to see Boots Randolph play saxophone in downtown Nashville. I remember the AAU tournament in Kansas City, and riding the roller-coasters at Worlds-of-Fun until they kicked us out. May you find peace and comfort as you reflect on her life. God bless you and your family.

Kevin & Carson, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother. I haven't seen her in awhile but I always asked my parents Ervin & Nina about her. She was a beautiful lady. Kevin, I remember when we were kids at Grandma Huey's house, we told Carson there wasn't a Santa Claus. Carson went inside and told your Mom, she really got on to me and you for that. That's one of my fondest memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I can truthfully say that Wanda was one of the most positive and pleasant people I have ever been privileged to know. Many times when I needed a lift I would call her and just talking to her for a few brief moments would brighten my mood. I will always cherish her memory and hold her contagious smile and laugh close to my heart. To her family: May God bless and keep you in your time of sorrow. Remember the good times, for I am sure there are many!

It was always a pleasure to be with Wanda. She was well read, enjoyed meaningful conversation, shared her sense of humor with her friends and had the ability to talk with people from all walks of life. Her sons, their spouses and all of the grandchildren were her world.
I was blessed to have met her several years ago. She will be missed. Her family is in my prayers.

Wanda and her family and friends are in our prayers. She was a truly wonderful neighbor and friend. We missed her in Leawood, but also knew she loved being closer to her family whom she obviously cherished dearly, with good reason! May she rest in peace.

The very first time I met Ms. Wanda we hit it off as friends. Everytime she came to the clinic we talked about family first especially Sarah who we both decieded was a lot like Wanda in a lot of ways. I will truly miss Ms. Wanda as a friend. I will miss our days of discussing our family members and just enjoying each other company. To be absent from the body is to be present with God. And this is the comfort I have knowing that my friend is with God and that we will see each other again.

Wanda was such a warm and caring person...always thinking of others over herself. There was never a time I saw her that she didn't ask me about my children and their lives while giving me the update on her precious grandchildren. They were the light of her life and I know they will miss thier WaWa. She is already missed in apheresis.
