Biography: Louise ?Tootsie? Burley Ellis, 97, of Little Rock, passed away January 10, 2011. She was born August 15, 1913 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Johnnie and Verna Burley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert A Ellis, of Little Rock, her sister Susie Orren and brother Calvin E Burley both of El Dorado, as well as by her grandson Mark Ellis of Little Rock. She is survived by; her sister, Freda Patterson of Brownwood, Texas, her son, Tony Ellis and wife Darlette of Little Rock, her grandson, Anthony Ellis and wife Bridget and their children Josephina and Noah, all of Little Rock, as well as her grandson, Wesley Ellis of Little Rock. Louise was a member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a passionate fisherwoman, who loved her family which always came first. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as Pretty Thing Pinky the dog. She loved to cook and was famous in her family for banana nut cake. Her family would like to thank Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as Peggy Wise and Lynn Pumphrey. A funeral service will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to CARE at www.careforanimals.org or to a charity of choice. Hey Tony..sure sorry to learn of your mom's passing.I know how close you were and how good care you took of her over the years. See that she made it to 97 like my mother..hope we make it that far or get real close. Our thoughts will be with you Darlette, and all the family tomorrow.
