Biography: Virginia Louise Koch Brower, 92, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006. She was born in Jackson, Michigan on April 19, 1914 to the late Emory and Tillie (Kossman) Koch. Mrs. Brower was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Mary and Martha Circle, the Fellowship Club, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was also a member of the Heritage House Ceramics Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold H. Brower who died in 1986; son-in-law Alfred Finkbeiner; and grandson, Hal Bearden. Survivors include her son, Paul G. Brower and wife Sheila of Marietta, Georgia; daughters, Barbara Lou Bearden and husband Lee of Marshall, Missouri, Nancy Ann Finkbeiner of Little Rock, and Diana Evelyn Thompson and husband Dr. Berry Thompson of Little Rock; sisters, Evelyn Huyck of Wayland, Michigan, Patricia Elvin of Tampa, Florida, and Joan Gale of Jackson, Michigan; eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006 at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Grace Lutheran Church, Kavanaugh and Hillcrest, officiated by Rev. James C. Walter. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Parkway Health Center for their loving care.
