Dear Boggess Family,

We all write with a heavy heart, but we also know that Bob lived an extraordinary life. He was such a consummate giver, and a man's man.
His kindness will live forever, and his dear and boyish enthusiasm is planted firmly in our hearts.

The Lord bless you, and keep you all.

I was lucky enough to become one of Bob's fellow ski bums back in the early 1980's. I saw him once a year or two on those trips and we swapped an occasional yarn over the internet when email arrived in the '90's. We had lots of laughs and good times over the years, but what I will always remember about the Captain was his sincere interest in our lives. He always remembered the details of what we were trying to do on a personal level....and he cared for us as friends. He is loved and admired by all who had the privelidge of knowing him.

The Captain, as we fellow ski bums called him, was a great and terrifically fun guy to ski trip with. He was always upbeat and ready to go with his ever present smile, engaging conversation and high energy level. Every morning he was the first up and prepared a full breakfast. Like the Captain, his breakfast was always the same-something and someone you could always count on. He was the big draw of our annual trips and we miss him very much.

Bob Boggess taught me many things thru the years, although he never was trying to. I was always smiling when in Bob’s presence, just tickled inside by the way he expressed himself. My parents, Morris and Diane Fair, asked Bob to be my God Father when I was born in 1957. What a Blessing that was over the years. I will surely miss Bob, but I am comforted by knowing how he lived life to the fullest each and every day. Thank you Bob, for everything. You brought much joy into my life.

To Mr. Boggess' family,

I met Mr. Boggess several years ago when calling-on Coleman Dairy. He was always a delight to visit with and was the very definition of a gentleman. He will be missed.

Bob was a very special friend and a wonderful and caring man. He lit up every room he ever walked into with his smile and his wonderful sense of humor. Bob took up skiing in his late 40's and continued his annual pilgrimage to the mountains with many an industry and personal friend in his company well into his 60's. In our ski group he was know as the "Captain".
We will miss him dearly. His memory will be with us always and especially vivid when the many friends who made the trek up the mountain with Bob are together again in the same spirit of comraderie, friendship, and support that he fostered during his many years with us.
