I grew up in the same neighborhood as Sally (and her twin Sue) in Cincinnati. We attended school together all the way through graduation. I have a funny memory of her: in high school, Sally saw no reason to iron clothing, so she only ironed the fronts of her blouses! She was always a very individual thinker. I have just recently learned of her death. I last saw her at our 40th high school reunion. I loved you, Sally!

In this hectic world, its sometimes hard to keep up with our friends. Sally was a client of mine for many years. I am a hairstylst. She was one of my favorite clients. Always bringing me something sweet as a tip. She was an honest and truly caring soul that will be greatly missed.

Just heard about Sally's passing and am most saddened by it. Sally and I lost parents at about the same time and she was a most sympathetic listener during a difficult period in my life. I saw her every day at the office and loved her style, personality and strength. I will miss her, as will we all.

Jennifer Coke, Tom Kobor and Diane Smith dear friends of Sallys during her Cincinati years, are so shocked about her passing.

Sally, Ruth Williams and I went to Europe and back packed in the mid 70's, I lived with Sally for many years in Cincinnati. We enjoyed singing, nature, art, traveling, drinking wine and dating young men during our first years out of college.

She will be deeply missed. I'm so sorry about her passing and not being able to say good bye.

Sally was one of the first persons I met at Arkansas Arts Council, and one whom I always admired for her true artist's spirit! Her joyous presence will be missed!

I’ve known Sally since we were teenagers in Cincinnati, and will always remember the great times in high school, college, the church youth group and choir. I am so glad we were able to maintain our friendship all these years. She was a wonderful person who always had a positive attitude. I am especially grateful that Sally and Sue were able to visit me in Florida in the fall of 2008. Good bye my friend.

I was Sally's "boss" from 1995 to 2000 when I served as Executive Director of the Arkansas Arts Council. If you knew Sally, you understand the quotes around boss!

Sally was a true individual, with a distance to her mind you, but one of the most caring and encouraging people I have ever known.

I was saddened by the news of her life ending but know that she will live on in many, many collective memories.

Sally was a great encourager. At a Pastel Art meeting she spoke to us and encourage us to join the AR Art Council. I filled out the paper work, lots of paper work, and joined. Due to her encouragement, my art has grown. Thank you Sally.

Sally was dear friend to both of us, and our fondest memories are of showing Sally medieval castles in Tuscany and England-- Sally was carried away by the history embedded in those old stones -- and of Sally dressed as an elf(!) one Halloween in the mid-1980s, having a wonderful time in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel in Memphis.
