Biography: Wanda Yeargain Nixon, 78, of Little Rock died Wednesday, January 13, 2010. She was born on September 12, 1931 in Perryville, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Yeargain and Ewing Nixon and friend George Sloan. Wanda was an all-star basketball player at Perryville High School which led to a lifelong affection for all sports. She enjoyed politics, particularly campaigning for her chosen candidate. She also enjoyed fundraising for her favorite charities. Wanda is survived by her two daughters, Shari Brennan (Carey) of Seattle, Washington and Vicki Williamson (Charley) of Springdale, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Taylor and Jennifer Brennan, Jimmy Kellensworth, Christy McNeil and Corey Williamson; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Kellensworth and Hunter and Addison McNeil. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, Saturday, January 16, 2009 at Forest Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Johnny Jackson officiating. Vicki & Shari,

Deepest sympathy to the both of you in the loss of your mom. She was a sweet lady & buried on my birthday. I remember the days when she was my dad's secretary at Arkansas Elec Co-op as well as the many other memories of her. Thinking of you then & now.

Wanda's work on behalf of many causes and candidates will long be remembered by those who knew her. Her enthusiasm for life, along with her
love for family and friends, were ever present
characteristics in her personality.
