Biography: Margaret Ann Evans Tippitt, 86, of Little Rock, widow of Calvin Coolidge Tippitt, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Arkansas after a well-lived Christian life. Margaret was born on October 16, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late William Dodds and Bertha Ann Rollins Evans. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, V. Ann Tippitt and J. Alan May, Gastonia, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Kathy Tippitt; granddaughter and finance, April N. Tippitt and Harold Spradlin all of Little Rock; sister-in-law, Bobbie Lackey of Little Rock; 13 nieces and nephews; her church family at Baseline Missionary Baptist Church; and her newest family at Foxridge Estates in Bryant, Arkansas. Margaret loved and cared for people where she went and she leaves behind many very special friends. Margaret’s family acknowledges the compassionate care she received at Saline Memorial Hospice House. After graduating from Mabelvale High School, she worked as a studio photographer for Evans Studios and Pfeifer Studio. On May 11, 1946 she married Calvin C. Tippitt of the Center Point, Arkansas. One of her great joys were the years she worked at Baseline Baptist Daycare where she touched many young lives. Her energetic mind and loving heart were always eager to help and share with others. The greatest joy in her life was the 62 wonderful years she spent with her husband Calvin. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Foxridge Estate, 4216 Foxridge Drive (Hwy. 5) in Bryant, Arkansas. Visitation with family and friends will follow. Private family burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
