Biography: Juanita LaVerne Green, 86, passed away November 11, 2009 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born March 2, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas to John Wesley Ivey and Viola Michael Hardin Ivey. Juanita had worked for the Civil Service-Ochampus for 28 years at Fort Bliss, Texas and at Fitzsimmons Army Base in Aurora, Colorado. Juanita loved to travel all over the World. She has been to Israel, China, Africa, Japan, England, Jordan and Egypt. She was always ready to go, go, go! She loved to read and enjoyed cooking and baking. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. Juanita is survived by four children, Sharon (husband, Jack Clark) Preston, of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; David (wife, Melanie) Green, of Stafford, VA; Cynthia (husband, Charles) Wenzinger, of Aurora, CO; and Richard (wife, Linda) Green, of Aurora, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Tracey, Justin, Katie, Kyle, Brandon, Dane, Michael, Corey and Dylan; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Hardin Ivey. She was preceded in death by children, Donnalyn Sue Green and Leslie Green; one grandchild, Jeremy; and sisters, Ethel Mae Wallace, Sibyl Loreta Scifres, Alma "Lucille" Davis and Mary Jane May. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 16th, 4:00pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, Co. A viewing will be held from 3:00-4:00pm.
