Biography: Margaret Nabholz McNeil, age 91, of Little Rock, left this world to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She led a full life of loving and serving God, loving and raising her family, nursing others and loving and socializing with her multitude of friends and extended family. She was born in Conway, Arkansas to Emil and Mary Nabholz. She was the oldest of 12 children. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Joe, her brothers, Alfred, Robert and his wife Barbara, Edmound and his wife Emma Jo, and Bernard, sister Helen Wewer and husband Fritz, and her sister-in-law Babe Hoyt and husband Lawrence. She is survived by her 7 children; Brenda Grenier and husband Lauren of Hot Springs, Arkansas Peggy Jordan and husband Buddy of Hope, Arkansas Kathy Owen of Texarkana, Texas, Judy McNeil of Little Rock, Steven McNeil of Conway, Arkansas Karen Griffith and husband Paul of Little Rock, Kenneth McNeil and wife Kay of Little Rock, grandchildren; Lindsey, Josh, Lacey, Jordan, Chris, Meredith, Brittany, James, Gabe, and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Gracyn, Quentin, Brady, Ryan, Ana, Whit, Andrew, Ava, Ellis, Cole, and Aiden. She is also survived by brothers, Tom and wife Barbara Jean and Charles and wife Charlotte Nabholz, of Conway, Arkansas, sisters; Sister Elizabeth Nabholz of Chatawa, Mississippi, Sister Emily Nabholz and Sister Teresa Rose Nabholz of Nazareth, Kentucky, Elinor Rohlman and husband Henry of Morrilton, sisters-in-law Frances Nabholz of Conway, Doodle Nabholz of Mayflower and Helen Nabholz of Conway; brother-in-law Charles McNeil and wife Martha of North Little Rock, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Margaret led a fulfilling life and was involved in many activities and organizations. She retired from nursing at St. Vincent Hospital at age 72. She was an active member of Our Lady of The Holy Souls Catholic Church, the Alter Society, Seniors Group, and Catholic Business Women’s Club. She also loved her sew clubs and poker group, charter member of the Grandmother’s Prayer Club, and the Ecumenical Ministers for The Sick. Margaret will be missed by all who knew her but we know she was greeted with gusto by her heavenly family and is in a better place. The family wishes to publically thank Arkansas Hospice, and Carolyn Hiner for the loving care provided for Margaret in her last months. A celebration of her life will begin with a visitation from 6 to 7pm Thursday evening at Our Lady of The Holy Souls Catholic Church followed by a Rosary said at 7pm. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. also at Our Lady of The Holy Souls Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor Royce Thomas. Interment will follow in the church garden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of The Holy Souls Catholic Church Monsignor Frances Allen Trust Fund, Arkansas Hospice, or Sisters of Charity at Nazareth, Kentucky, or Sisters of Notre Dame at Chatawa, Mississippi.
