Biography: Billy Lee Trickett, 77, of Little Rock, passed away September 30, 2009 in Little Rock. He was retired from Alltel Corporation and was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was born October 19, 1931 in Booneville, AR to the late Elmer and Irene Trickett. He is survived by his wife, Janet (James) Trickett; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and June Trickett of Booneville, AR; sister Dottie Rhines of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Melinda Trickett of Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy Trickett of Conway; two granddaughters, Caitlin Trickett and Sydney Trickett of Conway; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock. Funeral service will be on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Log Cemetery, Booneville, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY, 10001. I absolutely loved my papaw and miss him like crazy! I hope he is doing great where he is, and I hope everyone loves him up there as we still do down there. I will never forget him with his jokes and giggles no matter how old I get. He will be loved forever and ever. He was a jokester and good at it he was! Love you and won't ever forget you! I love you papaw!

Polly was so sorry to hear Bill passed.
She made a call specially to tell me about his passing. She doesn't have a computer so I want to tell you the family is in our thoughts and prayers. As the saying goes, she thought the world of Bill.

It has been my great pleasure to have known Bill. I worked with him at Allied/Alltel for 20 years. He was one of the most respected executives there. I offer my sincere condolences.

I worked with Mr. Trickett 24 years at Allied/ALLTEL. He always had a smile & friendly greeting no matter where you met him. He will be missed by all who knew him. I met his wife & daughter on several occasion. In your time of sadneww thoughts of heartfelt sympathy are with you.

I honor of working with Bill when I was with Allied/Alltel during the growth years. He was a man of good humor and a pleasure to have known. He will be truely missed.

I had the distinct honor and priviledge of working with Mr. Trickett at Allied/ALLTEL. He was always so genuine and kind, greeting everyone by name and with a smile and a handshake. He set the standard of how we should treat our fellow man. He was well respected and will be missed by all who knew him. I offer my sincere condolences to you his family. My prayer will be God will bless you all with peace and comfort as you go thru this sad time.

I had the privilege and honor of knowing and working with Bill Trickett at Allied/ALLTEL for the better part of three decades. Bill Trickett was the most genuine and honest person that I have ever known. He was the most respected and loved friend any person could ever have had the honor of knowing. He inspired all who had contact and dealings with him. Bill Trickett was the top of the pyramid of the human race. He will be truly and genuinely missed.
