I consider it an honor to have know Corinne. She was a kind, considerate person who was always thinking of others. I will never forget the comfort she provided to me when my mother died unexpectedly a number of years ago. It is a sad day for the nursing community in Arkansas that we have lost someone of Corinne's caliber.

I was honored to have work and personal association with Corinne since her VA employment. This followed her tenure at UAMS College of Nursing where she taught Nursing theory among other things; she always insisted that nursing theory was fun. I imagine that she would have made it so--unfortunately, I came too late to the course.
I count her among the special people I have known. She was given a tough life course in recent years, but she was always a noble, caring soul. I am privileged to have known her and counted her a friend.

Martha and I had the pleasure of meeting Corinne through our mother, Marilyn, while she and Corinne worked together at both UAMS CON and the VA. We quickly became friends. My sisters and I soon adopted Corinne into our family with a small ceremony, and she has been part of many family gatherings since then. "M&M" as Corinne called us, are so blessed to have had the close bond we shared. We mourn the passing of a family member and true friend. We rejoice that Corinne is finally with her beloved Jack again, and free from the trials she endured on Earth. Our thoughts and prayers will continue for the family and friends she leaves behind.

Corrine was one of a kind and was a very special lady to work for. What I loved most about her was her wonderful sense of humor and childlike attitude toward life. She had a sense of humor like my dear Granny that passed away in 2005 and I often told her that she was special to me because of that. My favorite expression I heard Corinne say was in early spring one year. She was rubbing her arm and said "Ohhhh...it looks like I wintered in a flour sack". I will miss you Corinne!!! Jack has his sweet lady again!!!

Corinne was a dear friend for over thirty years. She was always generous and loving and what humor. Her smile always warmed up a room and she was a true friends friend and I will miss her upbeat and witty way. Corinne, I am so happy you are united once again with Jack. I look forward to seeing you again.

I hope that, in some small way, I can live my live with the courage and enthusiasm that Corrine lived hers with. Millie is with me now and she will have a loving home for the rest of her life. Corrine knew that Millie would always be loved and never be mistreated again. There are times in life that you connect with someone and Corrine was one of those special people. God Bless her and all of her family and friends.
