Biography: William Lawrence "Larry" Morse, of Chicago, Illinois departed this life to be eternally with his Savior on Thursday, August 6, 2009. Larry was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 1, 1963. He graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1981 and graduated with a Sociology degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1986, and began his employment as a Buyer Trainee with Dillard Department Stores in Plano, Texas. Larry and his beloved, Tina, then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas with a transfer to Dillard's flagship store. In 1988 Larry formed his own business, W. Lawrence Morse, Ltd., an event, floral and interior design firm. He accepted an event production position with Spaeth Design in New York City. Larry returned to Little Rock until May of 2002 when he opened Eufloria, Inc., another event, floral and decorating business in Branson, Missouri. Later, to help care for his aging parents, he moved to Chicago, Illinois and free-lanced in the same industry. Mr. Morse actively participated in numerous organizations, including, among others, Youth Home, CARTI, The Arthritis Foundation, The Heart Association, and The First Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Jeffrey Collins Morse, and his grandparents, Grace and Herbert Collins and Margie and Fred I. Morse, Jr. He is survived by his parents, Sue and Fred I. Morse, III of Chicago, Illinois, his adored sister, Mary Catherine "Catie" Morse Foster of Los Angeles, California, his beloved aunt Linda Collins of Little Rock, Arkansas, his great Aunt, Ethel Morse of Texarkana, Texas, friend and Mentor Nancy Kitchen, special friend Wes McHan, and many special friends from Pulaski Academy, Centenary College and his lifetime. Larry asked that any contributions in his memory be made to First Christian Church, 1500 N. Mississippi Ave., Little Rock, AR 72207 or Broadway United Methodist Church, 3344 N. Broadway St., Chicago, IL 60657, or to a charity of one's choice. Larry Morse's family wishes to especially thank the staff and caregivers at Seasons Hospice in Chicago for the outstanding care given to him. Memorial services in Chicago were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Broadway United Methodist Church with Rev. Vernice Thorn officiating. Memorial services in Little Rock will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at First Christian Church with Rev. James Munns officiating. Burial will be private by Ruebel Funeral Home. Dear Sue and Fred, I am sad to read that you've lost Larry! It has been too long since our paths have crossed. I have many fond memories of your wonderful family. Your children followed your example of enthusiasm and zest for life. My prayers are wrapped all around you.
