Biography: William Robert (Bob) Simpson, 93, of Little Rock passed away on May 6, 2009. He was born November 8, 1915 in Conway, Arkansas to Samuel Thomas Simpson and Etta Arnold Simpson. His brother was Charles Edwin Simpson. Bob was a veteran of World War II in the United States Coast Guard. He worked for Arkansas Power and Light Company for 41 years in sales, marketing, commercial and lighting. Bob was an avid baseball fan and coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for twenty years. He was also an enthusiastic Razorback supporter. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Regina Simpson and his two children Becky Webb and William (Bill) Robert Simpson, Jr. and his grandson Jonathan Mark Webb. A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the chapel at Immanuel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 501 N. Shackleford Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211.
