Biography: Florence Lucille Steed, 97, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009. She was born in Benton, Arkansas on August 23, 1911 to the late Anne Elizabeth and Bill Hardwick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Steed; a son, James A. Steed; and three siblings, Velma Smith, E.J. Hardwick and Eva Day. She is survived by her son, Charles (Bill) Steed and wife Elva of San Jose, California, her daughter, Alice Braselton of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Susan Deems of Coppell, Texas, Deidre Steed of Atlanta, Georgia, Sharon Masters of San Antonio, Texas and James Steed of San Jose, California and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25 with the Reverend Ray Higgins officiating.
