Biography: Patricia Kay Nelson Moneyhon, 68, of Little Rock, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. She was born in Long Beach, California, on December 26, 1940, to Kenneth Nelson and Elizabeth Riddle Nelson, both native of Van Buren County, Arkansas. She was educated in the public schools of California and Texas, then studied nursing at the UALR. She spent most of her adult life working as a registered nurse at various hospitals. She particularly loved her years as a medical case manager because of the opportunities she had to travel across the state and to be with so many different people. Survivors include her husband , Carl Moneyhon, daughters, Karen Adney of Maumelle and Anna Marie Walloch of Toronto, Canada, her grandchildren, Desmond Walloch of Little Rock, Kersten Rose Walloch of Alpine, TX, and Nicholas Adney of Maumelle, and her sister, Cherry Nelson of Conway, AR. She also leaves behind loving family members in Arkansas and Texas. The family wishes to thank all of the doctors and nurses who had cared for her during her lengthy illness and particularly the caring nursing staff at SICU at St. Vincent’s. A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Monday, March 23, at 1:30 PM. Burial of ashes will be held at Crosby Cemetery, Mason, Texas on Saturday, March 28, 2009.
