Biography: Mary Frances Morgan, 88, of Little Rock, died March 15, 2009. She was born in Tupelo, AR to the late Louis Bedford and Ruth Emerald Collier Morgan. Mary Frances was a successful business woman for many years as an accountant and tax consultant at L. B. Morgan and Company. She was devoted to her church Pulaski Heights United Methodist where she was a charter member. She taught the children in the five year old class for many years. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir throughout her lifetime. Her family was important to her and was described as the “Caretaker”. She was an extraordinary daughter, sister and aunt. Her long time friends Ruth Ann Moren, Anna Thomas, and Betty Williams were like sisters to her. Her special furry friend was Molly, her Cocker Spaniel. She was known by many for her graciousness, generosity, thoughtfulness and unique sense of humor even in difficult times. The concern for others’ feelings came before her own. During WW II she volunteered for the Red Cross and the U.S.O. Her numerous volunteer efforts continued through her life. Mary Frances was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Jack and Marilyn Humke, Lonoke, AR, Biff and Debbie Morgan, Little Rock, George and Sharon Penick, Little Rock, and Dale and Cathy Taylor of Willard, MO. There will be a funeral Service held Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Dr. Jeff Hampton. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church or Pulaski County Humane Society. Mary Frances was a friend in High School and later I was involved with her in business. She was always a very kind person and I enjoyed her friendship.
