Biography: Marie Dangelo McCollum, age 77, of Maumelle, died February 14, 2009. She was born on July 30, 1931 in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph and Leontyne Sanzone Dangelo. She worked as an insurance underwriter for Marsh McLennan Insurance Company and Rebsamen Insurance. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where she served with Episcopal Family Ministry, the St. Mark’s Columbarium Board, and in the Lay Ministry. Marie enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Russell McCollum,Jr., her children, Tracy McCollum Lee and her husband Peter of Lake Bluff, Illinois, and Robin McCollum and his wife Jaye of Butler, PA, her grandchildren, Peter Chapin Lee, Jr, Charles Russell Lee, Tobey McCollum, Daphne McCollum, Kelly McCollum Hart, and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at St. Mark’s Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1000 N. I remember when I first met Marie. It was at GrandPa's. I thought she was the loveliest and most exotic woman that I had ever seen. Of course, I was young and had hardly been out of St. Charles! I even remember going to you all's wedding. Aunt Margaret cried and Daddy made fun of her!
