Biography: Carol Barrett Mobbs, 96, of Little Rock, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 5. She was born August 7, 1912, in Herbine, Cleveland County, Arkansas, to the late Seymour and Mattie Williamson Barrett. She was a registered nurse with the Veterans Administration Hospital until she retired on June 14, 1975. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, the national and local Association of Retired Federal Employees and a charter member of the local Association of Retired Persons. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Elnora Swift, Maudie Hoover, Sula Barrett, Euna Scifres; and three brothers, Edgar Leon Barrett, Steve Barrett, Clifton Barrett. She is survived by a son, John Mobbs (Rita) of Little Rock; a daughter, Joanna Odell Hickey (Ernie) of Warren, Michigan; two brothers, Frank Barrett of Little Rock and Walter Barrett of California; and one sister, Helen Bearer of Houston, Texas. She was blessed with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed. A private graveside service was held to honor her and her life of devotion and caring for her family, friends and those who knew her.
