Biography: Charles Robert “Bob” Perry, 79, son of the late Faye and Charles Perry of New Albany, Indiana, passed away February 7, 2009. Bob graduated from the University of Tulsa and Southwestern School of Banking. He was employed by the Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa and later by Worthen Bank from which he retired as Vice-President after twenty years. He served in the Air Force as a Captain and was a long time pilot with a life long love of aviation. He was a member of many aviation organizations including Experimental Aircraft Association and QUIET BIRDMEN. He owned and especially cared for a 1946 Fairchild 24 for over thirty years. Bob will be greatly missed by his many friends. “Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings!” A graveside service will be held at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery, North Little Rock, AR on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home. www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

Please know that I only knew Bob through the love of flying when he would visit Keith at NLR Airport. I found him to be a true gentleman. It was great to have shared a few laughs together. He now is soaring the heavens on God's wings.
