Biography: Jennifer A. Love of Little Rock, 61, died December 11, 2008 at Arkansas Hospice. She is survived by one brother, John M. Love of Mt. Prospect, Illinois and his children Nancy Osborn of Sherwood, Arkansas, Becky Anderson, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Matthew Love of Schaumburg, Illinois. She is also survived by four great nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward and Sara Skelton Love of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born and raised in Jonesboro. After graduating from Jonesboro High School in 1965 and Arkansas State University, she taught school for 1 year in Osceola before moving to Europe to live and work, returning always to Florence whenever work conditions permitted. For several years she was an enthusiastic member of the student, ex patriot community in that city that she loved. Jennifer was fluent in Italian and taught the language after returning to Little Rock, enriching the lives and travels of numerous students. Leaving Florence, she moved to Little Rock and began working for World Wide Travel, then an affiliate of FABCO. She was one of a group of employees who took the travel agency private ending that affiliation when she entered law school at UALR. While in school she worked at the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. After graduating from law school she was employed at the Attorney General’s Office, moving briefly to Fort Smith as an in-house counsel at Beverly Enterprises before returning to Little Rock with the Arkansas Worker’s Compensation Commission. At her death she headed the Legal Advisory Division, directing a staff of attorneys and paraprofessionals. She was a life long Methodist and attended the First United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She was a life long Democrat with a passionate interest in environmental, social justice and international development issues. Among her affiliations were these: she was a former Board Member of Central Arkansas Transit, Founding Member of a Little Rock chapter of Amnesty International, a Board Member of Pulaski County Habitat for Humanity actively engaged in numerous construction projects for that organization. She was a volunteer, and had a great interest in the work of, Heifer International, traveling with that organization to projects in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia. She is loved and will be missed by wide circles of extended family, friends, co-workers and fellow travelers. There will be an inurnment ceremony in the courtyard of the church at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 17 followed by a memorial service in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church at 12 noon, officiated by Dr. Michael Mattox and Reverend Mary Jane Clark.
