I did not have the pleasure of meeting Alfred, but I am a close friend of his half brother. Alfred accomplished so much during his life and was among the best of the greatest generation. The country owes him so very much. His passing is a tregedy for his family and the nation. You have my very deepest sympathy

Dear Pat and family,
Hammie was my first cousin, his Dad was my Uncle. It has been many years since I have seen or heard from him. As a young child I saw him at our grandparents in Morrilton in the summers and idolized him!
I am so sorry for your loss and please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dee
