Biography: Anne Ruth Speck, loving sister, aunt, great aunt, and great -great aunt passed away on November 26, 2008. Known lovingly as both Sister and Aunt Sis, she is survived by a brother O.W. Speck of Frenchman’s Bayou, Arkansas and a sister Gladys Speck Hyatt of Osceola, Arkansas. She has fourteen nieces and nephews and countless great nieces and nephews as well as great- great nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong Methodist and served overseas during World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars and traveled the world during her service, spending quite some time in Okinawa. She retired to West Memphis, Arkansas and later moved to Blytheville, Arkansas finally settling in Little Rock for the last several years. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Bassett Cemetery, Bassett, Arkansas.
