Biography: Donald Francis Jones, Jr. of Little Rock passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006. He was born April 19, 1924, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Donald F. Jones, Sr. and Lena Lichlyter Jones. He graduated from Culver Military Academy and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He also served in the U. S. Army during WWII. Mr. Jones was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1952 to 1956. He was the Vice President of DF Jones Construction Company. He was an avid golfer, a member of the DP golfing club, and conducted golf clinics at several Arkansas golf courses. He was a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Duke Jones; four children, Victoria Hall, Donald F. Jones III, Jay E. Jones and Christopher Jones; and five grandchildren, Davidson Hall, Harrison Hall, Brie Jones, James Jones and Tucker Anderson. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice or First Tee of Arkansas.
