Biography: Stuart Patrick Davis, 87, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 25th at his home. Stuart was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the son of the late Stuart P. Davis and Kathryn DeClerk Davis of Pocahontas. Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Aurelia Davis. He is also survived by sons Patrick Davis and wife Julie of Arlington, Texas, Glenn Davis and Wife Janet of Little Rock, Chris Davis of St. Anthony, Minnesota. Daughters Colette Campion and husband Don of Arlington, Texas, Kathy Dickinson of Little Rock, and the late Becky Davis of Little Rock, and predeceased by one granddaughter Marlena Davis. Stuart is also survived by his 16 grandchildren; Debbie Cooper, Jon Davis and wife Amy, Michael Davis and wife Pam, Eric Davis, Susie Davis, Matthew Davis and Jillian Davis, Warren Davis, Katherine Mentzer and husband Drew, Glenn Campion, Laura Campion, Whitney James, Justin Davis, Patrick Davis, Angela Holle, and Natalie Holle. As well as seven great grandchildren; Nathan and Chance Cooper, Samantha Davis, Billy, Skylar and Chloe Davis, and Jackson Mullins; nieces and nephews, Rev. Richard Davis, Carolyn Johnson, Virginia Davis and Andy Davis. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Davis of Pocahontas, and Bill Davis of Jonesboro. Stuart was a strong and determined man who worked full time until he was 83 years old. He worked many years for DeClerk And DeClerk LP Gas Company in Pocahontas, Bor-Air Freight Company in Chicago, Illinois, TARGET, AVIS and Airport Security Parking in Little Rock. Stuart was a veteran of World War II having served as a medic in the United States Navy. He was an avid Razorback fan and never missed watching a game on television. Stuart was a passionate collector of Matchbox cars. He also loved challenging crossword puzzles. Stuart was a real people person who never met a stranger. He always had the time to talk with others about their interests. He had a keen sense of humor and was always ready to share a new joke he had heard. Stuart was a loving and devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He felt that his greatest contribution to this world was his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was so proud of all of them and their accomplishments. There will be a visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at Ruebel Funeral Home Tuesday October 28, 2008. There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday October 29, 2008 at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church.
