My amazing grandmother use to tell her friends that she felt enormous gratitude to be "just a little twig in their woodpile of friends." Anne had a huge forest built of millions of little twigs. She was so blessed to have so many who loved her. We were so blessed to have her in our daily lives. Your family remains in my daily thoughts and prayers. May your memories soothe your spirit and wrap your heart in warmth.
God Bless.

Hey,
Just a quick e-mail of condolences to the Pressly/Cannady family and to the KATV station. May the beautiful Anne rest in Eternal peace forever until we all get our chance of seeing her again.
To her friends and family, she is still watching over you all taking care of you in Heaven, so its not like she is away from you forever. Just remember the good times you had with her, as I know God is taking great care of her.
Rest In Peace Arkansas' beloved Anne Pressly.

As a lifelong resident of Little Rock, I've been witness to many senseless tragedies involving crimes against others. Know that Anne was and will always be our TV gal and know she blessed many many people along the way to HEAVEN...As it is said,"Our lives will be a little less lived without Anne". God Bless her family and find our compassion in your time of grief.

Patti, We have been separated for over 30 years and this tragedy has brought us together. Patti, I am devastated for you in this loss of your precious daughter. She grew into a beautiful young lady and I know how proud you must have been of her. She accomplished so much in her 26 years. You will miss Anne everyday and the pain will ease as the days pass. You will find comfort in your memories and your family and friends. I would love to wrap my arms around you with a big hug full of love and understanding for your grief.You rasied a wonderful young lady and her life was shared with so many people through the years. She will live on in the hearts of all these people.Please call me or email me when the time is right. I am in Greenville almost every 2 weeks to see family. I would love to have some time with you to get re-acquainted and hear your stories of Anne's life and accomplishments. I send all my love and sympathy to you and your family. Mindy Metcalf Cornelison

To Anne's family,

There simply are no words one can say that can bring any form of comfort or releif to you at this terrrible time, but please know that there are thousands of people all over this country that are hurting with you, and for you, and are praying for you. Anne no doubt must have been such a beautiful person in that the news of her tragic attack and life has made its way around the country and many of us have wept for her.
I so deeply lament Anne's such short time here and pray that God will ease you're pain and be at your side when you grieve. May God cradle and comfort Anne's soul for all eternity and may her soul be a shinning light in the kingdom of heaven.

Although I did not know Anne personally or never got to meet her I watched her every morning as I was getting ready for work. When I first heard that she had been brutally attacked I was in complete shock. All week I thought she just has to get better she just has too. She is too young and beautiful to be cut down this soon in life. Then when I heard the news that she had passed away I just sat on my bed and cried. She was the best on KATV and she was just a ray of sunshine to everyone she was around whether it was on TV, her family, friends or even people she hadn't met. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for all of us to get through this difficult time in our lives and in history. I guess God needed a GREAT reporter up in Heaven. Now she has her Angel wings because she was truly an Angel. I will miss her always.

Guy and Patti,
I know from your comments that you know where Anne is now and walks in beauty with no rmemberance of the ordeal she endured.
God is soverign in all things. He has her in His kingdoem now. We are left to bear the pain and sorrow but she is radiant in her new home.

I am confident in her glory and I know that you two can be proud of the fact that she loved you and the Lord in such a way that every memory of her and thought that brings her to your memory will reflect her powerful faith and love for our Saviour.

It occurred to me as I was falling asleep last night that Anne died at 7:07pm AND had worked for KATV Channel 7. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's realizes the significance of these facts. God's perfect number is 7. I hope you, the family and friends of Anne, will find peace and solace in that God's plan for Anne's life was completed, in this world, at 7:07pm on October 25, 2008. He allowed it to be evidenced in her dying at that specific time after He took her on the path to KATV Channel 7 where she first touched countless lives through her inner and outer beauty. May God's love and peace surround you all today, especially, as you say farewell to Anne and move forward with the rest of your lives on this earth without her. What a special gift she was to this world!

I didn't personally know Anne but through all of this tragedy, her life and death has deeply touched me.

I wrote this poem in honor and in memory of Anne.

God, it doesn't make sense what happened to Anne;
I know this tragedy wasn't in your plan.
Please, heal Anne was what we prayed;
That You’d bring her back to us where she could stay.

The answer you gave us was not what we asked
And now her passing is almost too much to grasp.
The life she lived gave glory to You;
E’en through her death You are shining through.

A beautiful, vibrant young lady to us you provided
Where everyone she met was blessed and delighted.
Her tongue so often spoke of You, God
And many saw the walk with You in which she trod.

A special part of Anne now continues to live
In six of whom Anne’s last gift was giv’n.
May these peoples lives continue to bare
Anne’s loving kindness, goodness and care.

Anne so passionately lived her life
And now it has ended in horrible strife.
Please comfort us with comfort only You can Give
and fill us with Your peace as long as we live.

Let us now think on the life that Anne lived;
The memories of loving kindness that she has left.
We thank you, God, for sharing her these few years
Now we say goodbye to her through many tears.

We look forward to the day we will see her again.
Please, God, comfort her family from now until then.
Help her co-workers and friends through their daily grief;
From this overwhelming sadness, please, give them relief.

In Deepest Sympathy,
Deborah

Anne's life touched so many, even those she didn't know personally. I hope you can find solace in knowing that even in death, hope now lives for those 6 who have accepted one of her organ's, in what has to be the most selfless act of kindness on earth. All I can do is offer my thoughts and tearful pleas to God that He will comfort you, and assure you that one day you will stand alongside your beautiful Anne again in what assuredly will be the sweetest reunion of all. May God bless you.

What a sad time and terrible loss for the state of Arkansas. Anne was a ray of sunshine for everyone she came into contact with. I have lost a child and thought that no one knew what I was feeling or going through, but God does. The bible says "For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY begotten Son". He has walked in your shoes and will give you comfort during this time. We all will continue to hold your family up in prayer. We are so very sorry for this loss.

Guy & Patti:

No words can ever remove the pain of losing a "loved one" to death's sting. There is hope in the assurance of Anne's ressurection, as a former resident of AR, I remember Anne's touch on the "local scene" around Little Rock. Even though I moved to Texas in 2007 I always "kept in touch" with my AR roots through the use of the Internet, KATV News was/is ALWAYS on at 5,6, and 10, The very professional staff you have chosen to provide Anne's funeral will help you ANY TIME it's needed. Our prayers are with you......Anne will be sorely missed.

Being honest, I have to say that I don't believe I ever saw a news cast from Anne, but that is probably best because had I, this would feel alot worse, and it already feels aweful. Because our Saviour lives, so does Anne. Someday you will be with her again in a place where there is no pain, sorrow or tears. Until that day, be strong, as she would want you to be. May God heal your broken hearts and revive your spirit. Anne is in our loving, Saviour's arms. Safe forever

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. Nothing can comfort you except for the fact that she was strong in her faith, as you are. That is what will carry you through this most difficult time. Though I did not know Anne, except through watching her on television, I am still reeling from her death and still find myself asking why? Take comfort that she is with the Lord, and is whole and well, and lighting up Heaven with that 1000 watt smile.

My prayers are extended to the family and also to the co-workers of Anne Pressly. This is a tragic thing that happened to all of you. May GOD grant you all everything you need to face the days ahead. She will be greatly missed. But, heaven needed another beautiful rose to add to the Master's bouquet. May you all find comfort in the shelter of GOD'S arms.

We deeply mourn the loss of this lovely young woman. May her father, Phillip Pressly, half sister Lucy and all the aunts, uncles and cousins here in Greenville know that she was loved deeply by many and will continue to grieve her loss for a long time.
May she be with Our Lord and at Peace.

My dad worked with Anne at Channel 7 and I had the pleasure of visiting with her on numerous occasions. She will be deeply missed by everyone - both those who knew her well and those who didn't know her at all. There are few words that can truly provide comfort during a time as difficult as this. Just know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many. God will see you through. God Bless.

To Anne's family:
I am so saddened over Anne's death. I had never met her personally but felt I knew her (like so many others in the state) from watching her every morning on KATV. She brought so much to all of us who watched her. I loved her upbeat, positive, fun loving, but also professional way she presented the news. She will be so very missed. Anne touched so many lives. You are all in my prayers...my deepest sympathy, Laura

My Prayers and thoughts are with your family at this time. I loved watching Ms. Pressly ever time she was on the news. I just want to know that I will miss her greatly as well as many others. I just got my BA in Mass Communications and Ms. Pressly is one of the reason I went into the field. I had dream and hope to one day work with her in some format ethier on or off screen. I am sadden that I won't get that chance. I did meet her once at a Dolly Parton show and she took time to talk to me even when she did not have too.

As the Footprints in the Sands poem says;

"During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints in the sand, it was then that I carried you."

May God carry your entire family through this time.

My thoughts and prayers are with her parents, other family members, Channel 7 crew who worked and associated closely with her, and friends.

Only knowing her through visual contact on the televison, she still had a way about her that touched this viewer. Anne's presence is greatly missed. Judy

I grew up in Arkansas and when we travel home for the Holidays looked forward to watching KATV and Anne. So very sorry for your loss! I have 3 small children and can not imagine lossing them. So now I hug them a little tighter. So not only does the state of Arkansas mourn, I think everyone with a child mourns for you. God Bless you all and many prayers from Massachusetts.

Such a needless and tragic end to such a beautiful life. I can't imagine the grief you must feel in losing a daughter. I treasure my daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. It's unfortunate that our society is so violent and so many innocent people are lost and so many worthless ones survive. God will prevail.

Even though we did not know your daughter, this is a tragedy. It saddens us at the thought that such a young life with much to offer was taken. Your family is in our prayers and May you be comforted in the thought that just because she isn't living on this earth anymore, she is alive in Heaven.
