Biography: Russell Midgett, age 78, of Redfield, formerly of Little Rock, died September 25, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Vera Pratt Midgett. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Spann and her husband Larry of Redfield, grandson, Lance Spann, grand daughter, Lindsey Spann. Russell is also survived by his brother, Carroll Midgett of North Caroline, sister, Mary Ann Robinson, of Shreveport, and sister, Jane Scott of California, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Little Rock’s First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Mattox officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the First United Methodist Church, 723 Center Street, Little Rock, AR 72201 or to Hospice Home Care, 2200 S. Bowman, Little Rock, AR 72212. Lisa, Larry, Lance and Lindsey we are thinking of you all, and share your sorrow at the loss of your Dad, Granddad and my Big Brother. Our visits were too few, but such a joy. Precious memories fill our hearts.

Our Prayers are with you, at this time. We will all miss your dad, Lance and Lindsay's Granddad, and my Brother. I will miss His visits To the Gun and Knife Shows, The meals we shared, and Reminiscing our years of growing up. Thank you Larry for being so good to Russell. He appreciated all you did, and he always bragged on your garden. Lisa hold on to your memories and always know we care.

Love and sympathy in the loss of your dad, and Lindsay and Lance's Granddad. I will always remember him, my older brother, Our travels and visits. How we both loved to hunt and fish.
