Nola and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Jerry as a fun loving man who would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. I can only hope that with each passing day, things seem a little bit better, but I know there will always seem like there is something missing. Jerry will be known for being an artist who capture the razorbacks a way no one else could. He will for sure be missed and appreciated for they way he touched the people in his life.

Nola and family,
We are very saddened to hear of your loss. We too have happy memories of Jerry and his God-given talent. Not long ago I was looking through the church cookbook he illustrated, and the pictures still bring smiles. Jerry was as nice as he was talented. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you the peace and comfort you will need, and please let us know if there is anything we can do.

Nola, Carrie and Jennifer:
There are a couple of things I would like to mention about Jerry and the first was his unique ability to picture things in his mind and then accdurately describe them, usually with words of humor, but others words as the siruation called for. The other part of that uniqueness is that he could go beyond words and transfer the images just as accurately through his hands by drawing them out on paper. We all miss our "BUD," but every time we see you and Carrie and Jennifer, we also see and remember Jerry.

Nola, Carrie, and Jennifer,

My heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Jerry was one of the kindest men I have known. I always enjoyed his sense of humor and have enjoyed his art for years. I often look at our old cookbook and laugh at the illustrations that he created. Leah and Brian both talk about the last time we all had dinner together in LR and how much they enjoyed visiting with you all. My love and prayers are with you.

Nola,
You and I worked together at Arkla Chemical back in the late '60s--seems like you were in my wedding in 1969 (some memories fade). I remember how sweet you and Jerry were together, you being pregnant with your first child, and visiting y'all and your precious baby at the 'vintage' house in downtown LR. Where did the time go?

To say "I'm sorry for your loss" seems so inadequate. My Daddy passed away in July and my Mother, Sister, and I pivot between tears, laughter, and tears again when we talk about Daddy. Somehow, by the Grace of God, we make it through each day and night. I pray that you and your family will find serenity and peace in the loving memories you have of Jerry.

Sending God's blessings and comfort to the whole family from those who love you in Montana. Our years of friendship cause me to grieve with you as though I lost one of my own family. I love you all dearly and will always be here for you for anything you need. Prayers are a daily given. Most of all, I am so thankful you are a part of the Family of God. Jerry is safe now for eternity and we will see him again sooner than we can imagine. God Bless you ALL.

I remember this little party that was thrown when I was a teenager. There were outside laterns and he was in a cheerful mood. He always seemed to be in a happy and upbeat mood when I knew him. I always have thought of him whenever I see ads from Dillards and was inspired that someone could make their living by being an artist. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Nola, Jennifer and Carrie & Family:
We have spent many years of our lives together. We all were like family for those years and were a big part of each other. Mr. Ballinger was one of the most talented individuals I've ever met in my entire life. I still remember the cartoon images he would do of all of us at the "dances" at church...
I am so sorry for your loss of such a dear loved one. My heart and love go out to each and every one of you. I am so grateful that he is in a wonderful place now.... and that someday we will all unite once again...

Jennifer, Carrie, Rick, and Mrs. Ballinger:

My heart and love reaches out to you all. I've known you all for a long time. I think the true barometer of a person and a family is the visual picture you form in your head when remembering them. When I picture Mr. Ballinger, and the entire family for that matter, I always see a smile. I can't picture Mr. and Mrs. Ballinger, Carrie, Rick, and especially Jennifer without a smile. I will remember Mr. Ballinger as an example of how a man is supposed to be and act, of a real man, something that is rare in this world today. I will never forget his example, attitude about life, and especially his smile!

Sure love the picture of Jerry. So very much like him. Just wanted to tell you and the family that in our book he was a fine fellow. Our memories of him we cherish. Especially the time Jerry, Jesse and Rick went to get us all a goat! We loved you all and always will. We send our love and heartfelt sympathy. Our hope is in that future ressurrection uniting us with Christ.

With friendship and christian love,

Nola, I was so terribly saddened to hear about Jerry. Seems just like a couple of weeks ago I saw Jerry at Dr. Westbrooks office. You know I have had two surgeries in the last month. Since we both shared the same type of cancer it even hurts me more. Please know that you are in my prayers each day. I know the pain you are going through because I was widowed years ago by cancer also. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I left my email address or you can reach me by sending to UAMS Volunteers.
God bless and keep you and your family,
Marylyn
