Biography: Virginia Mae Dieck Rhinehart, 88, of Little Rock entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 27, 2008. She was born in Riverdale, Illinois on April 19, 1920, daughter of the late Emil and Pearl Kaiser Dieck. She became a Registered Nurse at St. Lukes Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and worked as a nurse in an ammunitions plant during World War II. She was the wife of the late William J. Rhinehart, M.D. who was one of the founding physicians of Radiology Associates in Little Rock. They were the parents of five children; Susan Rhinehart Marek, David Michael Marek (grandson), and Deborah Rhinehart Green preceded her in death. Her joy was providing love and care for her family. She is survived by a son Darmon A. Rhinehart and his wife Carolyn of Little Rock; two daughters, Paige R. Ballard and her husband Glenn of Little Rock and Robin R. Buff and her husband Robert of Fayetteville; a brother, Elmer Dieck of Palo Alto, California and a sister, Pearl Serbus of Fox Lake, Illinois; two grandsons, Geoff Rhinehart and his wife Nicole of Little Rock, and Jason Ballard and his wife Kriston of Benton; and two granddaughters, Stacy Adele Buff of Fayetteville, and Virginia Kate Buff of Conway. She has three great grandchildren. Virginia loved to cook and work in her garden; she enjoyed growing beautiful plants from seedlings each being cared for as little children. Her nurturing gift of nursing her husband, two daughters and grandson when they were ill demonstrated her generous, kind and selfless nature that touched everyone who knew her. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heifer Project International, Hospice Homecare of Arkansas, and/or Arkansas Audubon Ecology Camp (804 Konrad Court, Little Rock, 72223). Online guestbook: www.ruebelfuneralhome.com. At her request the family will have a private memorial service.

Damon, I wanted to express my sympathy toyou and your family on the loss of your mother. I worked under your dad for several years at SVI, and he talked sweetly about your mother. I also went to school with Carolyn.
You and your family are in my prayers at this time.
