Biography: Jimmy D. Woods, age 48 of Little Rock died August 13, 2008. Jimmy in his illness showed strength and courage to all his family and friends. All that knew Jimmy will remember him by his smile, and he knew better than anyone that a smile was meant to be shared, and share he did. He was kind, friendly, and always polite. He was an enthusiastic pro football fan; he loved music, especially playing the guitar, but his true passion came when he was riding his BMW motorcycle with his best friend Scotty Carter. His mother Sue Woods, his father Roy Woods, his daughter Christy Oberste, whom he cherished and her husband Scott survive him. He also leaves behind a brother David Woods, his sister Stella Priddy and her husband Ricky, a niece Lindsey Woods and his nephew Jake Baxter. The family invites you to attend a visitation from 4 to 5 pm Saturday August 16 at Ruebel Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to UALR Friday Fellows Program 2801 S University Ave Little Rock AR 72204 or to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it, Jimmy did. He had a true appreciation for all that surrounded him. He made my day brighter with his smile and his sincerity.I know that there are no words that can ease the hurt and sadness in your hearts. God may allow our hearts to be broken so He can get deeper into them.
