I have known Rachel for almost 6 years as co-workers at the VA hospital. We shared a love of animals. She was truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. Mrs. Fregia, you can be very proud of Rachel. She was loved by everyone who knew her here and was known for her kindness and gentleness. I think about Rachel frequently and will always remember her. Rachel, you made our difficult job easier just by your presence.

Everytime I talked to Rachel, she touched my heart. I always walked away from the conversation feeling better. Her sweet spirit always put me at ease. We at the VA are all richer for having known her and thankful for being able to work beside such a caring, compassionate nurse. She always spoke of her family with very much love. Thank you for sharing her with us.

I worked with Rachel at the VA, she was a great nurse and very kind and Caring person.
Even on days when the stress level was high and the staff level low, She never lost her compassion for the veterans. All I can say is that it must be true that only the truly good die young. God bless you Rachel and your family.

I was profoundly shocked and saddened when I heard the news of Rachel's passing. Rachel was the rare type of person that would brighten up the room when she entered. She was, truly, one of the sweetest, most loving people I have ever met. She was a joy to work with and everytime I had the opportunity to work with her my day was always brighter. She will be greatly missed by, not only me, but by all the VA staff and the veterans who's lives she touched in such a loving and caring way. May God bless and comfort her family and friends during this time of sadness.

Dear Rachel's Family,
Not only I but everyone at the VA who knew Rachel is grieving over her passing. Rachel was such a kind soul who cared for everyone. We would all better ourselves if we strived everyday to portray even a small part of the character and compassion she exhibited towards everyone she encountered for she treated everyone as though they were her dearest friend. I will always remember her wonderful spirit and rejoice every time I think of her knowing she is now in heaven and all is well. Rachel, I love you dear friend.

I am so saddened to hear of Rachel's passing.
She cared so much for all her patients and tried always to provide them a level of care that met and exceeded all their needs. She often wished she could have done and given more, but, in truth, she did all that was needed and more.
Her concern for others overshadowed her concern for herself. She was appreciated more than she knew.
My condolences to the family and all her friends.
