Biography: Hazel McAlpine Smith, born February 22, 1913 in Dow, Oklahoma, passed away in Little Rock on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Maud McAlpine, her husband Jack Smith, sisters Ruth Phelps and Margaret Zueck, and her brothers Gordon McAlpine, Lloyd McAlpine and George McAlpine. She is survived by her daughters Sandra Hardberger and her husband RE and Cynthia Price and her husband David, her grandchildren Derek Hardberger and his wife Crystal, Todd Hardberger and his wife Stephanie, Allison Nichols and her husband Kenny, Katy Lolla, Andy Lolla and his wife Beth and her great-grand children, Kate Hardberger, Yale Hardberger, Max Hardberger, Raney Hardberger and Milo Nicholas. Special thanks to Dr. Fernando Padilla and his caring staff, Dr. John Hampton and Dr. Roberta Munson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Make a Wish Foundation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008, 10:30 am at the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel.
