Biography: Emma Jane Sellers passed away May 29, 2008. She was born August 2, 1932, the daughter of Chester Ashley Cockrill and Jane Tillar Rogers, two prominent pioneer Arkansas families. She is survived by sons, Robert D. Sellers and wife Gina Dianne of Scott, AR and David Sellers of North Little Rock; one daughter, Tammy and husband Kevin Fitzpatrick of New York State; one granddaughter, Stephanie Fetyko of Colorado; two grandsons, Ashley and Sterling Sellers; her companion and best friend, Al White; brothers, Ashley Cockrill, Jr. and Rogers Cockrill and wife Ellon; sister, Frances Mayhan and husband Lynn. Emma Jane embodied the spirit of true friendship to all. Many people will remember her choir and Mardi Gras parties. She was generous and supportive of her family and friends, Centers for Youth and Family, UAMS and Trinity Cathedral, where she taught kindergarten for 23 years. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 2 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral with Rev. Andy Jackson officiating. A reception will follow in Morrison hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Cathedral School, 1616 S. Spring Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

I'll never forget you, Mrs. Sellers. You were always so enthusiastic with your kids friends, and we do go back a bit. I'm so proud of Bob that I really can't say. and I care for Tammy and David as well.

You were a great mother and a fine person. You will be sorely missed.
