I have alot of good memories and riding in his camaro. He was always a gentleman. We were born less than a month apart. Will always love you Richard Scott Butler.

Lisa, Ron, & Truman,

We were so blessed to have Rick here at CMC. No matter how he felt, he always had a smile on his face and something to laugh about! He will truly be missed. One sad part about me quiting smoking, is that I wouldn't get to hang out with Rick anymore in the smoking area! I am thankful that I got to be a part of his world. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Shelley

Lisa, Ron, Barbara & Truman,
I only got to work with Richard a few months. But I could tell he was the kind of friend I will carry in my heart the rest of my life. I thank you all for sharing him with us @ Arvest. He made our hectic work-place a much nicer place to be with his smiles, jokes and true Southern Gentlemanly manner. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hello,

First I would like to say I am very sorry for this loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Richard will be truly missed by everyone. We shared so many funny stories from the bird calling story to every day life. No matter how we felt or what was going on in our lives we made a Point to enjoy life even if it meant getting in trouble hence (not everyone enjoys bird calling stories)as Richard and I said, "hmmmm! I guess they didn't enjoy that, as much as we all did..." One of Richards family or friends had birds that sounded like their home alarm system. When someone would open the door they were so used to hearing the alarm system go off that they would automatically start chirping "click, click, click, Woooop Wooooop Wooop Wooop" well he and I made that something to brighten our day for probably about a week..... and it is something that was enjoyed probably by us and a few other people only. ;)I advised him that when I was 12 me and my mom bird sat and the bird would constantly call out at all times of the day and night,,, get this,,,, "Come here Rick, Come here Rick." so it sounded more like ComEreRick, ComereRick! one word.
We enjoyed having fun and laughing...
When I would have one of my anxiety attacks he would say to me, "okay now Crystal let's look at the Big picture here you're up you're walking around, I think you're going to be O--kay..." I would laugh and forget that I was in panic mode.
Sometimes we may forget that we are not promised tomorrow and to me tomorrow doesn't happen everthing is in the now, and it may be hard Not to get consumed by day to day routine. Living in the now and appreciating what we have is something we talked about and being thankful.
I will miss Richard dearly he was a Great Friend.

I only knew his son, Ron. If his raising a *great* child -- kind, humble, & caring -- can be any gauge, we've lost a Good Man...

Richard was my dear friend at Arvest. We laughed alot on our many smoke breaks. I did enjoy his stories about his life growing up in Georgia. He loved his mother very much and spoke of her often. To Barbara and Lisa, he loved you both very much. Barbara, he worried alot about you.
Lisa, he always tried to shield you from things that would worry you. I miss him so much and wanted you to know that everyone loved him at Arvest. We will never forget him. God Bless you all.

Lisa, Ron, and Truman,
My heart is with each of you in this time of sadness. Rick was such a fun-loving guy! He always made me laugh.I remember the fun time we had at Rick and Truman's in Macon and how could I ever forget our pool party! I wish that I could be there for you, but of course with the end of school upon us, that is extremely difficult. Lisa, know that I'm sending you a great big huge hug. If there is anything I can do from afar, please do not hesitate to call me. I'll be thinking about you Thursday.

Love you,
Susan

Lisa, Ron, & Truman,
My heart goes out to you right now. You know how much I loved Rick and his silly antics. I remember how he used to invade our slumber parties when we were younger. I remember his devotion to Hans, the German Shepard he adored. I wish Truman the best with Andy (psycho cat!). Cherish your wonderful memories. I wish I could be there for you in person, but know that my heart is with you.

Love,
Susan
