Dear Mary Ann,Sarah (though you don't know me) Missy,Bridget and Kathleen: Since it is so long after Ned's death I am sure no one will read it but I had to write it. Ned was a close friend, maybe my closest for our 4 years at St. Louis University. We met once in Tokyo when we were both in the service and I talked to him last when I learned of his father's death. I learned by accident that he had died and of this death notice. I have thought of little else since I read it. As you come to the end yourself you think of all the friends from high school, college, the service and law school that you lost contact with, how much they meant to you
at the time and to this day. Now with many of them it is too late. I know he rests in peace. Love, Ed &Joanne Rapp. Joanne got to know him during our senior year.

Sarah--
I was so sorry to read about the loss of your father. I know you have many wonderful memories to give you comfort. My own dear father died in 1995, so I can well remember some of what you are feeling. Please accept my deepest sympathy. You and your family are in my prayers.
