Biography: Jimmie Lee Davis, 76, of Little Rock flew into the arms of his Savior on April 3, 2008. Mr. Davis was born September 13, 1931 in Little Rock, and remained a resident of Little Rock for his entire life. His last year was spent at Briarwood Nursing Home on Rodney Parham. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Nancy Kaufman Davis; son Rick, daughter-in-law Margie and grandson Nathan Davis; and son Steven and daughter-in-law Polly Davis, all of Little Rock. Other survivors include a brother and sister-in-law Billy and Mildred Crane of West Virginia. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his loving parents, Tom and Elma Davis. Tom and Jimmie had a radio program “Cheer Along The Way” during the 1950’s. He was an accomplished musician. Special thanks are given to the caring staff of Briarwood Nursing Home who worked tirelessly to make his last days on earth as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Funeral services for Jimmie Lee Davis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel, 6313 West Markham, officiated by Jimmie’s brother, Rev. Billy D. Crane and Dr. David Ard. Family visitation is at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the funeral home. The Davis family asks that memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 10411 West Markham Street, Suite 130, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205-1409.

Rick, Margie, & the rest of the Davis family,
