Biography: Elizabeth Julia Gentry Strickland, 100, of Little Rock, passed away Friday, March 14th. She is the widow of William T. Strickland. She was born May 2, 1907 in Malvern, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas J. Gentry and Julia Lamb Gentry. She is a member of a pioneer Rockport, Hot Spring County, family. She graduated from the old Little Rock High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is survived by a son, William T. Strickland, Jr. of Lewisville, Texas, three grandchildren, Cynthia Tuckness of Coppell, Texas; David Strickland of Houston, Texas; and William Strickland of Moorestown, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Karen Strickland. Six great grandchildren, Candice Kuzov of Dallas, Texas; Rachel Tuckness of Austin, Texas; William and Haley Strickland of Houston, Texas; and Scott and Matthew Strickland of Moorestown, New Jersey survive her. She was a member of the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, the Rudd S. F. Sunday School Class, the Contemporary Study Club and the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
