Biography: Jay Walter Radcliff, age 72 of Little Rock, died Thursday, March 13, 2008. He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school in Ponca City he attended Oklahoma State University receiving his B.A. degree in Business. He became a corporate officer and board member in the fields of insurance and investments for over thirty years. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where he served as a member of the Vestry and as Senior Warden, and served as a Delegate to the Diocesan Convention. Additionally, he was currently a member of the Standing Committee, the Camp Mitchell Board of Trustees, the Health Insurance Task Force, the Budget and Finance Committee, and the Elections Committee. He was very active in Cursillo, once serving as Lay Rector of Cursillo #54 in October, 1996. Jay loved being with his children and grandchildren especially when they were with him at Lakeside Country Club where he was a member and once served on the board of directors. Jay is survived by his wife Carolyn “Katy” Cook Radcliff of Little Rock, 1 son; Jason Radcliff and wife Lisa of Helena, Alabama, 2 daughters; Tracy Ring of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Paula Dean of Little Rock, 1 sister; Jean Friend of St. Louis, Missouri, 2 brothers; Forrest Radcliff and wife Betty of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Joe Radcliff of Orlando, Florida, 5 grandchildren; Austin and Shelby Bradley, Brianna and Conner Radcliff and Zachary Ring. There will be a memorial funeral service held Saturday March 15th at 1 P.M. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church officiated at by The Right Reverend Larry Benfield, and The Reverend Carey Stone.
