Biography: John Michael Bass, 62, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2026.
John was born on October 3, 1963, in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Bass; his father, Frank O. Bass Jr.; and his sister, Trudy Tyler.
John played football for the University of Arkansas and later won the Toughman competition. He also loved to fish and hunt. He was known for his strength, humor, and steady loyalty to those he loved.
He is survived by his son, Tate Conner Bass; his granddaughter, Thea Corrine Bass; his sister, Sandra Helmich; his nephew, Ricky Cothern; and his grandniece, Melody Mae Cothern. He also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Ace and Junior, whom he loved dearly.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Murray Park, Pavilion 7. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember and celebrate John’s life.
