Diane Louise Hunter

Sep 29th, 1930 - Jun 22nd, 2026

Biography: Diane Louise Hunter, Age 95, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2026. Diane was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 29th, 1930, to the late Clarence Hunter and Fern Keck.

Diane graduated from Southwest Highschool, she later attended Kansas City Junior College and graduated from Business School. Shortly after her family moved to Cedar Rapid, Iowa. Diane went to work as a legal secretary for Collins Radio where she met James R. Tait. They were married in 1952.

Diane and Jim moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1956 so Jim and his partner could open Tait-Coppess Motors. At the time there were only 2 Volkswagens in the state of Arkansas. James R. Tait passed away in 1983. Diane later married Llyod Munsey in 1996. Llyod passed away in 2001.

Diane spent her spare time volunteering in many different areas. She was on the YWCA board; she also volunteered in Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Diane spent over 17 years helping the Red Cross in various capacities, such as water safety and instructor trainer. She was also a Deacon at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and the Librarian at Second Presbyterian Church.

Diane survived by her children, Shelley (Charles) Penick of Morrilton, Arkansas and Michael (Debra) Tait of Little Rock, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Mollie (Richard) Tanner, Megan (Dustin) Voss, Stephanie (Damon) Singleton, and Shawn Tait. As well as her great-grandchildren, Mary Reese and Ella Fisher, Finlee and Beau Voss, Brady, and Ashley Singleton.

Although we are so blessed to have our mother, Grandmother and Friend for 95 years, it has been difficult to lose her. Until we meet again, we will have many memories to remember her by. Two of our favorites are her being able to walk on her hands and wanting roller skates for her 50th birthday.

Private interment for family only took place at the Columbarium of Second Presbyterian Church.

Donations may be made in the name of Diane L. Tait to the Red Cross or Second Presbyterian Church or any charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
