Biography:

Lance Robert Anderson, age 67, of Genoa, Arkansas, passed away June 22, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by his family.

Lance was born on July 6, 1958, in Livingston, Montana to William and Dorothy Mae Anderson.  Growing up in Montana, he worked at Yellowstone Dairy and enjoyed all that the outdoors had to offer, including hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.  When he was a teen, he moved with his family to Wamba, Texas.  He graduated from Texas High School, where he met his future wife, Nancy Newton.  He and Nancy started a family and eventually settled in Genoa, AR, where they raised their children on their own family farm.

Lance also worked in the maintenance department of various industrial companies, including Lone Star Steel in Lone Star, TX; Alumax/Alcoa in Nash, TX; and most recently as a Vibration Technician at Domtar in Ashdown, AR.  Lance’s work ethic and disposition earned him many friends along the way, including one special friend, David Lemley of Texarkana, AR.

Lance was entirely devoted to his family and gave himself selflessly to all who needed him.  His mechanical aptitude was unmatched, and he constantly used those skills to help those around him better their own lives.  Over the years he greatly enjoyed supporting his many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the ball field, recital hall, race track or anywhere else they happened to be.  One of Lance’s favorite places was his cabin on Lake Greeson, where a multitude of family memories were made.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Anderson.  He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Nancy Anderson of Genoa, AR; his eldest daughter and son-in-law , Cindy and Thomas Green of Genoa, AR; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Krystyna Anderson of Genoa AR, his youngest daughter and son-in-law, Jenifer and Travis Mudford of Genoa, AR; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Dell and Dusty Rhoades of Cherokee, TX; his grandchildren, Arin Green, Emily Johnson, Gwendolyn Burrow, Faith Danner, Emma Estes, Taryn Anderson, Riley Mudford, Gavin Mudford, Kynlee Mudford and Oliver Anderson; and his great-grandchildren, Evie Thornell, Ellisyn Green, Phoebe Johnson, Demi Johnson, Kambri Tidwell, Adalyn Danner and Sailor Estes.
