Biography:

Rosemary Siegfried, 74, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died peacefully in her sleep on May 17, 2026.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter and grandson, Gretchen Siegfried and David Schuster of Columbus, Ohio; her son, Lars Siegfried of Sanford, Florida; her siblings, Carol Caparosa, Susan Caparosa (Alan Conrad), Beth Johnson, Mark Caparosa (Midge), and David Caparosa (MaryJo); and nine nieces and nephews.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 9, 1951, Rosemary was the oldest of six children. Affectionately known as “Ro,” she embraced her role as big sister with love, strength, and enthusiasm.
Rosemary graduated from Churchill Area High School and the University of Dayton. While working for Airborne Freight Company, she met her husband, David Lars Siegfried, who was instantly smitten by her peaches-and-cream complexion. They shared 32 years of marriage before his passing from prostate cancer in 2007.

A veteran of family relocations from Boston to New Jersey, Ohio, California, Florida, and Arkansas, Ro never forgot her Pittsburgh roots and delighted in striking up conversations with fellow Pittsburghers wherever she met them.

Rosemary served as Director of Volunteer Services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, where she developed an innovative volunteer placement process that earned her the organization’s Staff Member of the Year Award. She also worked at Honda, Burdines, a local bookstore and a tennis shop, where she taught lessons to young players.

An avid tennis and bridge player, Rosemary formed lifelong friendships wherever she went and enjoyed knitting in her spare time. She devoted countless hours to serving others through community, church, literacy, and family programs, always finding ways to help those in need. Her generosity extended beyond formal volunteer work—she often kept sandwiches, snacks, and water in her car to share with unhoused individuals she encountered along the way. Those who knew Rosemary often said her greatest gift was her ability to see a need and find a way to help.

Funeral services will be held at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 20900 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Margaret’s Columbarium, with a reception immediately afterward from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
