Carol Patricia Allen

Mar 24th, 1955 - Apr 27th, 2026

Biography:

Carol Patricia Allen, age 71, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.  She was born in Little Rock on March 24, 1955, to the late James Patrick Winburne and Catherine Anne Winburne.

Carol graduated from Hall High School in 1973. After high school, she worked as an administrative assistant for several companies in Little Rock, including the Arkansas Gazette until their closing in 1991, Flake & Kelly Commercial, CARTI, and CJRW.

A sweet and kindhearted lady who always had a smile on her face are just a few of the characteristics that described her.  She also loved to laugh and to make other people laugh. You couldn’t be around her long without her telling a joke or telling you something funny she heard.

Carol was an avid animal lover all her life and almost always had at least one pet. In her later years, she developed a special affinity for felines, both big and small.  From a very young age, Carol loved watching sports.  In particular, she enjoyed watching Razorback basketball and football.  Some of her fondest childhood memories were attending Arkansas Traveler baseball games with her grandmother.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ronald Lee Allen. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Allen-Daniel and husband Brian, sister Nancy Glankler and husband Charles, grandchildren Jacob Daniel and Bridget Daniel, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Humane Society of Pulaski County at https://warmhearts.org/donate/. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

What can I say about Carol that hasn’t already been mentioned in her obituary? She was the funniest woman to be around. Living so far apart we didn’t get to see each other that often but I sure cherish the time I did have with her. My heart breaks for Leslie & her family. She had gone through a lot during her mom’s illness and I pray for peace and comfort for her. RIP Carol. You will be so missed. Love you,

Wanda (Allen) Hudson
