Biography:
Nancy Grace Burrow Norton completed her journey home April 6, 2026. She was surrounded by family that mourn the loss of a woman as lovely as she was gentle and kind.
Born May 4, 1937, to Grace Truman Burrow and Roy Mack Burrow in El Dorado, Arkansas, Nancy was surrounded by style and taste thanks to the success of her father’s general stores and her mother, Grace. It was this sense of elegance and generosity that developed her intuition for ensuring those she loved were cared for at all times. She admired art and studied French couture at the University of Arkansas: Fayetteville, but her dream was always to have a family and children of her own. When she later became a single mother, her drive to protect and care for her children manifested in a diligence for work, spending over 30 years employed with the State of Arkansas. However, her tenacity was fueled by, and never eclipsed, her love for her children.
An impeccable hostess, Nancy made every moment special. Humble and kind, she would say it’s “just what people do;” but we all know how lucky we are to have her as the orchestrator of our cherished memories.
That she leaves us at the height of Spring’s flowering rebirth provides reassurance that all is well: one perfect rose has fallen, but a lifetime of love and smiling memories will abide and continue. Nancy is survived by daughters Nikki Lynn Hurley and Nancy Angela Norton, son Russell Douglass Norton, and granddaughter Grace Ray Norton.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held in the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11AM. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHom.com
