Biography:

Emma Louise Clark, 75, of Little Rock, passed away on March 14, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother—and so much more to everyone whose lives she touched.

Born to Harl and Louise Carruthers on September 27, 1950, in Morrilton, Arkansas, Emma was a 1968 graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic High School. She earned her degree in English and Art from Arkansas Tech University in 1972. She married Lee Clark on September 9, 1972. Later, in 1978, she completed her Master’s in Reading at the University of Central Arkansas.

Throughout her life, she helped shape many young lives. She taught at Plainview-Rover, Cloverdale Elementary, and Jacksonville Southside Junior High until 1985. Later on, she dedicated herself to Catholic schools, teaching scripture memory verses at Christ the King and then reading and religion at Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Perhaps her proudest job was as a grandmother. She poured her heart, soul, and glitter into loving her family. She is survived by her husband Lee, son Jonathan, granddaughters Paige and Eloise, brother Robert, and a host of beloved cousins.

A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. and followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Afterward, there will be a committal service at the Christ the King Columbarium, adjacent to the church. A reception will follow in the parish hall.

Though we never visited much; Only when Emma was securing Vegetables or Pecans from her brother Robert "Crash" as we call him; I did enjoy meeting Emma and Lee from time to time at the deer proof garden or earlier at the massive Pecan Orchard. I worked with her Brother, Robert when he grew Pecans commercially and when he grew soybeans on her farmland in the Arkansas River Valley. May Emma R.I.P. and we Pray for all of her Family.
