Biography:
Delia Hailey, age 79, passed away February 11 due to complications from COPD.
Delia was born on February 7, 1947 to Margaret and Captain Thomas Hayes, in Memphis, Tennessee. After Delia graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic School for Girls in 1965, she went on to work at Union Planters National Bank. It was at the bank that she would meet her husband of many years, Gerald Dean “Jerry” Hailey.
Delia is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Lucille O’Neil Hayes, and her father, Captain Thomas Edward Hayes. She is survived by her son, Dr. Jerald Christopher “Chris” Hailey, and girlfriend Kristen; her stepson Andy Hailey, and wife Lynn; her stepson, Scott Hailey, and wife Margaret; and her stepdaughter, Angela Hailey, all of Little Rock; thirteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially Nurse Tish.
A Funeral Mass and interment will be held Friday, February 20 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the charity of your choice.
