Biography: Colene “CoCo” Beauchamp Nicholson, 94, born on February 24, 1931, died December 24, 2025, in Little Rock, Ark. Colene was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stonewall Jackson Beauchamp, Jr. of Little Rock.

She graduated from Little Rock Central High School and Randolph-Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She was member of the Junior League of Little Rock, served on the board of the Ada Thompson Home, and had been a member of the Little Rock Country Club.

While living in Dallas, Colene was the studio manager for men’s portraits at Neiman Marcus, vice president of Joe Nicholson and Associates, which presented Dale Carnegie Courses, and was in sales for Executive Development Systems presenting the Successful Life course.

Survivors are Mary Sloan Healey and Elizabeth Grayson Sloan, both of Little Rock, Ralph Matthews Sloan III of Dallas, and Martha Beauchamp Sloan of Austin, Texas, grandson John Albert Healey II of Hot Springs, Ark., stepson Joseph E. Nicholson (Vicki), of Clearwater, Florida, and cousins Kenny, Nathan, Brooks, and Jeff McRae of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her best friend, Joe Nicholson, cousins Kenneth G. McRae and Marilyn Bilyeu, and stepchildren Jenny, Jill and Jeff Nicholson.

She always said her greatest joy in life were her children and many friends including Martha and Tommy Bush of Romance, Ark., and Robbie Lee Lyle of Belvieu, Nebraska, who was like a sister to her, and Robbie’s son Ronnie Lyle.

A memorial service will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home (6313 W. Markham St., Little Rock) on Friday, May 15, at 2 p.m. followed by visitation 2:30 till 4:30 p.m.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff who provided care and love to CoCo at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, as well as the residential community, whose friendships meant the world to her and who she looked forward to seeing every day.
