Biography: Lois Marie Reynolds Tipton passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on October 19th, 2025. She was born on November 16th, 1923.

After growing up on the family farm in Bauxite with her parents, brother and sister she moved to Little Rock.

Lois was an independent, professional woman. She was administrative assistant to the chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine in the College of Medicine at UAMS for 45 years, serving under four different chairmen.

Always well put together, her shoes and her bag always matched her outfit and her accessories were always perfect. She always had a sweet disposition.

In line with her love of exercise and walking Lois started ballroom dancing in 1997 and continued for many years. She performed in numerous showcases, and attended two national competitions where she won first place in several different dances.

Lois was an inspiration to her friends and family and was greatly loved and admired. She will be missed.

Lois was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Gail Meglitsch, her former husband L.D. Tipton, her brothers Pete and Clyde Reynolds, her sister Elaine Wilmoth, her mother Lexie Reynolds and her father Frank Reynolds.

 

She is survived by her son Ronnie (Rowan) Tipton, her grandchildren René Tipton (Michiel) and Leslie Tipton and two great grandchildren Arlo Hogerheijde and Quinten Hogerheijde.


The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 29th at 12 noon at Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock with Pastor Rebecca Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be sent to Mt Pleasant UMC, 5025 Church Road, Little Rock, AR 72210 or that a charitable donation be made in her name.

Lois was a true lady and a wonderful great-grandmother. We were very fortunate to still get to visit her this past Summer. We will remember her fondly.
