Biography:
Lurlene Ballard McSpadden, 95, of Little Rock, AR passed from this life Sunday August 17, 2025. She was born in Rowellette, TX on August 24, 1929 to Clyde and May Bell Ballard.
In the early 1930's the family moved to the Texas Panhandle near Shallowater. Farming cotton during the great depression was very difficult instilling in Lurlene a resilience that stayed with her as she grew up. She graduated from high school top of her class and moved to Lubbock where she worked, married, and raised her family attending Sunset Church of Christ. After retiring Lurlene spent the next 30 years in Little Rock enjoying her family, friends, and church; Barrow Road/Central Church of Christ.
Lurlene was preceded in death by her husband, Truva T. McSpadden. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Risa and Jeff Clothier of Little Rock; daughter, Debbie McSpadden of Houston, TX; son, O'Riley McSpadden of League City, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Maja McSpadden of Willis, TX.
