Biography:
Michael “Mike” Moore Headlee, 55, of Little Rock, AR, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at his home in Little Rock.
Mike was born in Charleston, South Carolina and spent most of his childhood growing up in Searcy, Arkansas. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he earned a degree in accounting at the Walton College of Business. During his time at the university, he was a proud and active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
He went on to build a distinguished career in corporate finance and accounting, holding executive leadership roles where he guided large teams and managed complex financial operations. Known for his expertise, integrity, and mentorship, Mike left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with.
Mike was very well known and respected by his many friends, family and colleagues for his quick wit, dynamic sense of humor and intelligence. He had an incredible passion for music and could talk about it for hours. He was a walking encyclopedia, able to pinpoint the artist, album and year behind nearly any song he heard. For Mike, music was more than a hobby - it was a way he connected with the people he cared about most.
Mike was a proud and loving father, devoted loved one to his family, and a great friend who built strong enduring relationships with all that were lucky enough to be a part of his life.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, John Franklin Headlee; his maternal grandparents, Benny and Lavern Etzkorn of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and his paternal grandparents, Sonny Headlee (Betty Headlee) of Searcy, Arkansas and Patricia Wood (James Wood) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his mother, Marty Headlee of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter Meredith Headlee of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Mark Headlee and Stewart Headlee of Little Rock, Arkansas; Uncle, Tom Headlee (Linda Headlee) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and nieces, Hannah and Hayden Headlee of Little Rock, Arkansas
A celebration of life service will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home at 6313 West Markham St. in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
